The Claymont Basis presented its 2020/2021 Alumni Award winners on Sept. 10 at Eastport Elementary.
The 2020/2021 Alumni Award winners are:
Cecelia Krocker (C’ 66) has been awarded the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is offered to a man or woman who has dedicated his or her life or vocation to the services of humanity.
Krocker labored at Bonvechio’s Restaurant for a number of many years. She attended splendor college and bought her license in 1985. She then went to function at Merle Norman ahead of opening her possess shop in 1990 – Nails by Cyl.
In 1992, Krocker began to volunteer for Hospice of Tuscarawas County as a member of the Fundraising Committee. In 1994 she started encouraging at the annual Rigatoni Evening meal and in1995 grew to become the chair of the committee, making the meatballs for the function. She served as committee chair for 25 many years. She also chaired the Yearly Garage Sale from 1994 until it finished in which she ran the lunch stand. Krocker was named the 2018 Lucille Nussdorfer Tuscarawas County Female of the Yr for her service with Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
Krocker resides in New Philadelphia. She has a daughter, Michelle, and a son, David as properly as two grandsons, Alex and Carson.
Teri Edwards (C ’86) has been awarded the 2020/2021 Citizen of the Yr Award. The Citizen of the Yr Award is granted to an unique who has been lively in group schooling and recognition.
Edwards graduated from Claymont Superior College and Buckeye Vocation Center exactly where she analyzed Purely natural Methods.
She is currently the Govt Director of the Twin Metropolis Chamber of Commerce. She is a previous member of Dennison Village Council and served as the village’s initial woman mayor.
Edwards currently serves as an advisory committee member for: Dreamsville United states, Clay Funds Heritage Centre and Good friends of the Twin Cities Parks Trails and Waterways. She also serves as an ex-officio member of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is a member of the Clayland Lions Club.
Edwards is a former member and president of the Dennison Rotary Club. She was a past member of the Tuscarawas County YMCA board of directors, Tuscarawas County CIC, Tuscarawas Oil & Fuel advisory committee, Village of Dennison Zoning Code committee member and Village of Dennison Assistant Zoning Administrator.
Her hobbies involve traveling, spending time with her little ones and grandchildren, gardening, cats, officiating weddings and cooking.
Edwards has been married to Warne 32 several years. They have three daughters and 6 grandchildren.
Matt Carrothers (C ’94) has been awarded with the 2020/2021 Alumnus Achievement Award. The Alumnus Achievement Award is provided to a particular person whose contributions have manufactured an effects on culture and the local community.
Carrothers been given his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University. Carrothers is a graduate of the Industrial Banking College at Ball State University and a graduate and previous member of The Downtown Denver Partnership.
Above the last 20-plus years, he has held many senior stage positions in professional banking and industrial genuine estate banking. Carrothers is at the moment Senior Vice President for Pacific Western Lender where he focuses on huge structured finance industrial actual estate transactions.

Robert (Bob) Hasseman (C ’70) has been named the 2020 Alumnus of the Calendar year. The Alumnus of the 12 months Award is granted to an individual who has shown existence-time management and talents in his or her preferred subject.
Hasseman received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Findlay with a key in Overall health/Physical Schooling/Recreation/Education Minimal and he minored in General Science. He acquired his Learn of Training in Athletics Science from University of Ashland. He been given his Power and Conditioning Specialist certificate from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in Colorado Springs. While at Findlay, he was a 4-12 months letterman in soccer.
He retired in 2019 from Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana in which he taught Wellbeing and Bodily Schooling and served as Assistant Football /Defensive Coordinator and Head Wrestling Mentor. He formerly taught Science at New London Higher College in New London, Ohio. He also served as freshman soccer coach, assistant baseball coach, head baseball mentor, assistant varsity football and defensive coordinator, head soccer coach and head wrestling mentor.
Hasseman has been active with Indiana Condition Football Coaches Association, Indiana High College Wrestling Coaches Association, IHSAA Wrestling Formal, United states Officials Affiliation, National Energy and Conditioning Association, Nationwide Education and learning Association, Indiana Lecturers Association and Franklin Lecturers Association. He is still a member of the 1st Moravian Church in Uhrichsville.

Bob and his wife Debra (Smalley) Hasseman (C ’73) reside in Franklin, Indiana. They have 5 small children Annette Stutzman and Bryce (Angie), Joe, Jesse and Samantha Hasseman. They have 6 grandchildren Alexa, Torin, Paxton, Levi, Isaiah and Jeremiah James.
