Preston North End made a total of eight signings throughout the course of the summer transfer window.
Sepp van den Berg and Daniel Iversen returned on loan from Liverpool and Leicester City respectively after spells last season.
And Liam Lindsay joined on a permanent basis from Stoke City following his loan spell in the second half of the previous campaign.

On transfer deadline day itself, Josh Murphy joined on loan for the campaign from Cardiff City, while North End bought sought after midfielder Ali McCann from St Johnstone.
The trio of Izzy Brown, Matthew Olosunde and Jamie Thomas also arrived this window.
But many more players were linked with a move to North End over the course of the summer and here we take a look at what happened to them evenutally, whether they stayed at their clubs or moved on to pastures new.
Liam Delap interested North End, but the young Manchester City striker is remaining at the Etihad Stadium after Pep Guardiola confirmed he will stay there for the season.
Aston Villa’s Keinan Davis remains at Villa Park after picking up an injury, while Cameron Brannagan is still an Oxford United player, with North End and Millwall reported to have been two sides interested in the midfielder.
Owen Dale has moved to Blackpool on loan from Crewe Alexandra with a view of making the deal a permanent one in January, while Matty Pearson left Luton Town to move to Huddersfield Town despite rumoured interest from North End.
North End, Sheffield United and Luton Town were thought to be keeping an eye on midfielder Sam Morsy before the Middlesbrough midfielder moved to link up with old boss Paul Cook at Ipswich Town.
PNE considered Sunderland’s Luke O’Nien before the midfielder signed a new contract with the Black Cats.
James Hill was a name mentioned in the same breath as Frankie McAvoy’s side, but the son of former North End defender Matt Hill remains at Fleetwood Town.
Hull City’s Callum Elder was linked with a host of Championship clubs including PNE but remains with the Tigers, while Paul Mullin ended up moving to National League side Wrexham after ending as League Two’s top goalscorer with Cambridge United.
Michael Obafemi was linked with both North End and Blackburn Rovers, but the Southampton forward ended up moving to Championship rivals Swansea City.
Accrington Stanley’s Colby Bishop was reportedly the interest of several Championship sides including PNE, but has stayed at the League One club.
Gwion Edwards ended up joining Wigan Athletic after Sunderland and North End were said to be monitoring his Ipswich Town future, while Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo was eyed by PNE but he moved to Millwall on loan.
Abdallah Sima and Andi Zeqiri were both eyed in the last couple of days in the transfer window, Lancs Live understands, but the Brighton & Hove Albion duo joined Stoke City and Augsburg on loan respectively.
And former Huddersfield Town defender Mathias Jorgensen remains at Fenerbache, after North End were reportedly linked with a move for the Dane.
