Frances was born August 14, 1936 to Willard Winfield Newbern and Alethia Lacy Newbern. She grew up in Elizabeth City, N.C. in which she also married her partner, Thomas Cooper By way of, Sr. on January 1st 1956. Right after Cooper finished his company in the Navy and she finished her study of radiology, they began their 57 many years of marriage in Blacksburg, VA. Frances lived each working day of her daily life crammed with friendships, loved ones and pleasurable. There was in no way a day she was not paying time with those people she cherished most or savoring a person of her several hobbies. Frances’ hobbies and abilities provided currently being an expert seamstress, African violet grower, bridge player, gardener, baker, antique collector and prepare dinner. She was recognized during the neighborhood and past for her many cakes but especially her 13-layer chocolate cake. As a member of the Blacksburg State Club, she was an avid golfer and member of the Women’s Golfing Association. She and Cooper were being Pioneer users of the Hokie Club.
